How do I qualify for ScottradeELITE?
To download ScottradeELITE, your stock trading account needs to have a minimum account value of $25,000.
Your account value consists of cash and all securities. Like all Scottrade accounts there is no inactivity fee charged.
How much does Trade-Ideas cost?
Trade-Ideas is FREE for all ScottradeELITE clients. This is a $60 per month value that Scottrade provides to ScottradeELITE clients for FREE!
How do I activate Trade-Ideas?
Once you have downloaded and logged into ScottradeElite, click on the "Trade-Ideas" button on the top of navigation menu. A page describing Trade-Ideas will appear, click "Activate Trade-Ideas". Next, a user agreement will appear. If you choose to activate Trade-Ideas you will need to input your account number and password. If you do not wish to activaqte Trade-Ideas, close the window. Trade-Ideas is completely free for all ScottradeELITE customers.
What is the difference between NASDAQ TotalView and Level II stock quotes?
NASDAQ TotalView is the best, most complete and fastest data feed available from NASAQ. TotalView displays every single bid and ask from every market participant within the NASDAQ Market Center. When you sign up for TotalView, you automatically get Level II quotes FREE!
Level II displays the best bid and ask for each market participant in the NASDAQ Market Center.
How much does NASDAQ TotalView cost?
You will initially be charged $15 upon accessing and agreeing to use TotalView quotes. The initial $15 access fee cannot be rebated.
TotalView is free if you complete 15 commissionable trades per month. Otherwise, it is $15 per month. If you do complete 15 trades, the monthly fee will be rebated to your account on the first business day of the following month.
When you sign up for NASDAQ Total View you automatically get Level II quotes for FREE!
PLEASE NOTE: NASDAQ TotalView quotes are optional. You can choose to enable TotalView quotes at any time after you download the ScottradeELITE platform.
How do I activate NASDAQ TotalView within ScottradeELITE?
Once you have downloaded and logged into ScottradeELITE, click on the "TotalView" button on the top navigation menu. A page describing TotalView will appear, click "Activate TotalView". Next a user agagreement will appear. If you choose to activate TotalView, you will need to input your account number and password. If you do not wish to activate TotalView, close the window. TotalView is FREE with 15 commissionable trades per month. Otherwise it is $15 per month.
How much do Level II quotes cost?
You will initially be charged $10 upon accessing and agreeing to use Level II quotes. The initial $10 access fee cannot be rebated.
Additionally, on the first of every month, $10 will be billed to your account. To avoid the $10 per month charge, just do 10 commissioned trades per calendar month. Trade frequency is checked on the last business day of each month. If you have executed 10 or more commissioned trades by the end of the trading day on the last business day of the month, the $10 will be rebated back to your account.
PLEASE NOTE: Level II quotes are optional. You can choose to enable Level II quotes after you have downloaded the ScottradeELITE platform.
How do I activate the Level II quotes within ScottradeELITE?
Once you have downloaded and logged into ScottradeELITE, click on the "Level II" button on the top navigation menu. A user agreement will appear. If you choose to activate Level II quotes, you will need to input your account number and password. If you do not wish to activate the Level II quotes, just close the window.
PLEASE NOTE: You can always choose to activate the Level II quotes at a later date by clicking on the "Level II" button and agreeing to the user agreement.
Must I subscribe to NASDAQ TotalView or Level II quotes in order to utilize ScottradeELITE?
